1. BUSINESS INFORMATION
Torquay Alpine Ski Club (TASC) is a members club governed by its constitution. Please send all correspondence to Torquay Alpine Ski Club, Barton Hall, Kingskerswell Road, Torquay, TQ2 8JY.
2. PLACING AN ONLINE BOOKING
i. Bookings for lessons can be placed via our website www.skitorquay.co.uk or by calling us on 01803 313350.
ii. All bookings are recommended to be made in advance and are subject to availability. Payment must to taken at the time of booking and are non-refundable. iii. All prices for lessons include ski or snowboard equipment hire, however you are welcome to use your own equipment providing it is in good working order. Helmets are not compulsory but you may wish to wear one. You must provide your own long sleeve top, long pants and gloves. It is also recommended that wrist guards are worn for snowboarding lessons. For advanced lessons, it is also recommended that protective equipment such as back protectors, protective shorts and knee pads (for snowboarding) are worn.
3. PAYMENT
i. Payment for the booking will be made at the time of placing the order. Payment methods will be offered during the checkout process.
ii. Prices are subject to change without notice.
iii. All products are priced and charged in GBP(£ Sterling).
4. CANCELLATIONS
i. No refunds will be given if the booking is cancelled by you within 24 hours of the start of the lesson.
ii. If you wish to cancel a booking outside of the 24 hour window then we can only re-arrange your booking to another session. To do this please call the slope on 01803 313350 and we will do this for you. You must book onto a session within 1 month of the original booking.
iii. If for any reason TASC cancels a booking then either a full refund will be issued or you will be given the opportunity to move the lesson to a different session.
5. DISCOUNTS
i. From time to time we may offer discounts on bookable products. When a promotion is current, the price quoted on the website will be at the discounted price. These discounts may be withdrawn at any time without prior notice.
ii. Discounted bookings must be taken within the timeframes outlined on the website.
6. LIABILITY STATEMENT
i. All sports activities are potentially hazardous and can be strenuous. You need to be reasonably fit to take part in ski or snowboard lessons or recreation sessions.
ii. If you are in any doubt of your fitness to take part then please consult your doctor, especially if you have an existing injury, suffer from epilepsy or a cardiovascular or respiratory disorder, or if you are seriously overweight for your height.
iii. It is your responsibility to ensure you have had proper training to use any slopes and equipment supplied by TASC for recreational use.
iv. All recreational users of the slopes must ensure they are fit and able before entering into the activity. If you are under 16 years old then a responsible adult must confirm to the duty officer that you are fit and able to use the slope and its equipment otherwise you will be asked to leave the slope by the TASC Duty Officer, no refund will be given. Please be aware of the associated risks when participating in these activities.
V. The club cannot be held responsible for any damage, injury or death resulting from the use of the slopes or hire equipment.
7. PROPERTY
TASC is not responsible for the damage, loss or theft of any property during your visit to the Centre. Any lost property found on site is held for one month. We are not responsible for any items left on our premises. We will keep any property for one month, after which time we will dispose of the item or items.
8. NOTICES
i. All notices you send us must be sent to the contact details on this site. We may give notice to you at either the email or postal address you provide to us when making a booking. (Notice will be deemed received and properly served 24 hours after an email is sent or seven working days after the date of posting of a letter.) In providing the service of any notice, it will be sufficient to prove, in the case of a letter, that the letter was properly addressed, stamped and placed in the post and, in the case of an email that the email was sent to the specified email address of the addressee.
9. COOKIES
i. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device that uniquely identify your browser or device. You’ll probably be familiar with them, but we feel it’s important you know about them.
We use temporary browser cookies to maintain the contents of your shopping cart & to remember you when you return to our website.
iii. We use cookies for the following reasons: Remember what is in your shopping basket, Remember where you are in the order process, remember that you are logged in and that your session is secure. You need to be logged in to complete an order.
iv. Cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your session when you log out.
10. OTHER
i. These terms are governed by English law. Any contract for the purchase of goods from this site and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with any such contract will be governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. However, if you are a resident in Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are a resident in Scotland you may also bring proceedings in Scotland
We reserve the right to change any of these terms and conditions without notice.
